Margaret Rogers is a biochemist holding a Master of Science degree who, after working 20 years in research with CSIRO, took early retirement in 1988 to manage the family business after the death of her father. Shortly before her retirement (in 1987), she was on the Organizing Committee and Treasurer for the highly-successful Melbourne International Congress of the International Union of Leather Technicians and Chemists Societies. She was also heavily involved for many years (1964 to 1989) with the Scout Association of Australia, rose to the position of Assistant Branch Commissioner for Cubs in Victoria, and was in charge of some 20,000 Cub Scouts and 3,000 Cub Leaders. |
