The College

ImageThe Celestial Tai Chi College of Australia was founded in January 1990 by two Chinese Masters, both of whom have credentials from their native Asia. They are Grand Master Eng Chor Khor, J.P. and Senior Master Chin Min Lian. However the roots of the Celestial Tai Chi College can be traced to 1976 when Grand Master Eng Chor Khor began teaching Tai Chi in Australia.

The Masters

ImageAt the head of the Celestial Tai Chi College of Australia are two Chinese Masters. The pool of instructors and those in training all take their instruction and guidance from the Masters. We are lucky that they continue to take regular classes This allows students of all levels have easy access to the source of the system they train. Having the attention of one's regular instructors as well as Masters of such high quality is a strong aspect of the College

Training Centre Locations

Training Centre LocationsThe Celestial Tai Chi College operates 20 centres around Melbourne, Victoria offering day and evening classes in Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Qong and various Wushu forms. It has one of the most comprehensive and systematic teaching syllabus for all students and specialised training program for instructors and trainee instructors.

The college also runs corporate classes in business hours and day classes in community centres. It has also conducted various courses and workshops in schools, colleges, business institutions, hospitals, Melbourne Remand Centre and The Royal Australian Air Force.

Free Park Lessons

ImageOne of the most enjoyable activities run by the college. Two park lessons are run at the end of every term. This gives students the opportunity to practice Tai Chi in open air. It also brings up the opportunity to meet other students, Instructors and the Masters. Park lesson are run for two hours and are visited by over 100 people. Any one can come to the park lesson and enjoy a good introduction to Tai Chi and a demonstration from the Masters.

Weekly park practice sessions are also run in Camberwell and Moonee Ponds and all students are welcome to join these.

Philosophy Lesson

Image On Saturday 4 June, Grand Master Eng Chor Khor will be giving a lesson on the journey into the richness of Tai Chi history, its philosophy and Chinese culture. A must for all those who wish to do Tai Chi with a greater understanding and appreciation.

Celestial Tai Chi Cultural Tours

Scenes from the Cultural TourThe 2007 Cultural Tour provided an opportunity to experience the rich culture of these ancient lands. The places covered: Seoul, Taipei, Kota Kinabalu. The intinerary is listed below - giving an indication of the places visited in these annual tours.
